Ruka (FIN) Europa Cup 5th-6th December 2013

The 2014 Season gets underway with the first aerial events of the year in Ruka (FIN) on the 5th and 6th December 2013.

Great Britain will be represented by Lloyd Wallace (19) from Semley in Wiltshire.

The double Europa Cup event takes place in the arctic circle, ensuring plenty of snow, but cold temperatures and short daylight hours. Fortunately the aerial site is floodlit and most of the training and competitions will take place in the evening, with plenty of spectators able to watch the action.

Being the first competitive event of the year, this double Europa Cup event will be well attended with many of the World Cup skiers using it as an early opportunity to practice their competition jumps ready for the first World Cup event in China on 15th December.
