7th Place for Lloyd at Mondial Acrobatx 2015

7th Place for Lloyd at Mondial Acrobatx 2015

Lloyd Wallace again demonstrated his status as one of the world’s top up-and-coming aerial skiers with a 7th place at the Mondial Championships in Quebec, Canada. He has been training with the Swiss Team all summer near Zurich and this was a chance to try out some new aerial maneuvers in competition. He scored a personal best of 100.03 for his full-full-full, a triple twisting triple somersault. He qualified for finals in 10th place, moved up to 6th place in final 1, and finishing 7th in final 2.

Lloyd said “I’m really happy to be here with the some of the best in the world and take 7th, although I know I could have done better. I didn’t quite have enough time to get used to this triple kicker which is quite a different shape to what I’ve been training on. It is also harder without having my coach here, but good practice too.”

Lloyd returns home now to University of Bath where he is studying Sports Performance. He will begin snow training in Finland in November.
