11th Place for Lloyd at World Cup Finals

11th Place for Lloyd at World Cup Finals

A fantastic 11th place for Lloyd Wallace in the World Cup Finals in Raubichi, Belarus. This was the first time he had made finals (top 12). In the qualification round he nailed a well executed full double-full (F2F) scoring 92.7 putting him in 10th place.

Lloyd Fullout
“It felt really good, I’m so psyched, especially after having had a terrible training day yesterday with awkward conditions.”

He might have repeated the same jump in finals but he and coach Mich Roth (SUI) decided it would be better experience to do a different jump in the final. He did a double-full full (2FF) “I went really fast and was chuffed to do a good and massive one, it felt great. It was just too big to land although I just slapped back a bit. “

Still the 70.85 was enough to maintain an excellent 11th place. “I really wasn’t expecting to make finals this season” Lloyd said “but I guess I knew it was possible if I was both good and lucky at the same time”

11th Is Britain’s best aerial World Cup result since Raz Cobbing’s 7th at Oberjoch in 1995.

Lloyd finishes the season ranked 24th in the World Cup grand prix.

He now has 4 Europa Cups in the Alps followed by the Junior World Championships on 24th March.

It was an exciting super-final with high scores and some upset
